Day 14 – This upsets you

I was going to write a full post on this one, but instead I’ve decided to bullet point some thoughts and offer it without explanation. Let me know what you think ;)

  • Reading the /instance chat in LFR
  • Feeling like I’m working my tail off towards a rep only to check and see it’s only 1/4 into Honored
  • Players who think they’re experts in everything and on every class
  • Players who tell you how to play your class
  • Players who gear inspect other players just to criticize (Yes, I need an OH item I know! Thanks Mister Gear-Inspector-Policeman! Now go away, k bye!)
  • Buying 250+ eggs for the oracles to get my mount only to meet people who tell me they got it on their first egg
  • Having to cancel a raid because you’re one player short and can’t find a replacement
  • Grinding rep on my alts – (Really? I have to find more lost jewelry up in that cave again? and again? and again?)
  • Having friends spread across so many servers
  • Finding the perfect tmog piece on Mogit only to find that it was a quest item I can no longer get
  • When my keybinding addon fails (not pretty)
  • Tanks that pull everything in the dungeon on purpose and then dropping group
  • Tanks that don’t watch their healer’s mana bar
  • Not having a decent way to sort my mounts for better organization
  • When my internet drops/stops when I’m doing something important like the one and only night that I raid! Grrrr!
  • 4 – 6 fps on the Elegon fight when all my settings are at their lowest
  • Being out of Soulshards
  • Wondering why my dps is down only to realize 1/2 hour later my Sacrifice Buff had dropped
  • Soulstoning a healer at the start of an LFD only to have them drop and leave the que
  • Bling-a-tron always giving me junk
  • Pink floaty Soulshards above my head

Noogie nights, ain’t no doubt, we are here to party

I ran with the Noogie Nights raid team tonight. Sixh from Epic Diapers runs his DK with them. I had a blast and they were a fun group. I didn’t say much cause that usually ruins it! Ha! As I was taking pics around MVs, one of their Monks named Seidr (I hope I spelled his name right) was running around and playing before the pull. He jumped passed me and I caught this shot. I like it, it’s a good action shot of a monk.

Upcoming ideasI

Yes, I was late on this post, but only by 1 hour. Sorry I was raiding…can I use that as an excuse? 5 more days and then my 20 Days of the WoW Blogging Challenge will be in the bag! Woot! It’s all downhill from here I’m glad I’ve taken part in this challenge and I have to admit I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve also got a couple ideas about some upcoming posts. Now, I just need to survive the next five days and then it’s back to talking about warlocks! And patch 5.2? Yep, I’m ready for you too and I know I’m going to QQ about the changes to FEAR so ignore me.

  1. I got the Glyph of whojamaflip to turn my orbs green. Also does soul shards, I understand.

    • Barry,

I actually like the name Glyph of Whojamaflip, I could see a lot of uses for it. Although, I’d pay a lot of gold to own a glyph that would make the floaty shards go away forever except on my character portrait where they belong IMHO.

  2. Prinnie Dood says:

I find Elegon’s voice WEIRD, and I don’t know why.

The thing that bugs me about Elegon is that Thermalix is like a two foot tall, female goblin. SO WHY DOES SHE TURN INTO A NORMAL SIZED MALE STAR BEING THING? I’d disregard the gender issue if they could at least get my height consistent!

“Players who tell you how to play your class”

So, uh, when I try to “help” lowbie huntards out by telling them to OMFG TURN OFF GROWL and dismiss pet when jumping and “what the hell dude, you’re a hunter, where’s your pet?” … does that count?

  3. Prinnie Dood says:

Also, “Tanks that don’t watch their healer’s mana bar”

I don’t know if I’m going crazy or what, but it seems like since the prePandaland patch hit, I don’t always see the real deal. When I look, it’ll be full – and they’ll be all OMFG I’M OUT OF MANA CAN’T YOU TELL

Er, no. The bar is full.

Conversely I’ll sometimes stand around aimlessly waiting for a full mana bar juuuust because when I look, it appears to be halfway or more empty to me.

  4. Saga says:

I think I can agree with pretty much every single thing on your list…

The one about people telling you how to play your class or inspecting your gear is probably one of my biggest pet peeves. If I’m not asking for help, I probably already checked it out. Oh and hey, you’re a Shaman.. your highest level Warlock as far as I’m aware is level 82.. so how about you trust me to know my class better than you, kk?

Sorry.. as I said.. big pet peeve! :P

  5. Nibuca says:

    – Wondering why my dps is down only to realize 1/2 hour later my Sacrifice Buff had dropped
I recommend Power Auras or Weak Auras. I have a big green graphic which covers my toons whenever sacrifice buff drops.

    – Pink floaty Soulshards above my head
Already said.. but you can make them green (helping)

    “changes to fear”
I’ve decided that Blizz has made “Blood Horror” into an only-useful-for-PVP talent and will just move my point elsewhere.

    • Nibuca,

I used to use Power Auras; however, with the launch of MoP I decided to slim down the number of addons I use. For a while there I was getting crazy with them! Thanks for the suggestions and don’t worry, you’re only trying to help and there’s nothing wrong with that! I’ve been using the Tell Me When addon, but tbh I might drop it. It’s not that it’s a bad addon, it’s just I’m already watching my spell on CD and so it’s just another graphic that often gets in the way. I agree the new change to Fear in 5.2 will make a lot of us do the same and move our talent point somewhere else. *sniffs* My favorite spell in the game too!

  6. Nibuca says:

Glyph of Subtlety Affliction – Your Soul Shards no longer display when out of combat.

    • Hi Nibuca,

I know :( I use the Glyph of Subtlety, but those dang pink things still show up above my head when I fight or if I’m in combat. It makes taking action screen shots while fighting a pain because they wind up in the picture frame. Grrrrrr, You’d think a glyph like that would make them go away for good!
